Mr. Lawrence S. Brewster
Larry Brewster is the Chairman and Co-founder of Portfolio Property Advisors, LLC. PPA is a spin –off of O’Connor and Associates. Before starting the firm in 2008, Larry Brewster lead O’Connor’s national real estate consulting business for commercial real estate owners, investors and operators tax reduction valuation, market analysis and due diligence that in only the last few years has produced millions of dollars in tax savings from over $8 billion in commercial real estate. He came on board when the practice was one person and about a hundred thousand dollars and grew both the team and revenues, the later to multiple years of results of seven-figure billings and a national clientele seeking multiple real estate services.
Larry’s 30 years in industry includes both domestic and international experience in real estate, software and health care. His expertise has focused on bringing new commercial real estate concepts to market as well as strategic planning, operations and tax related consulting to real estate developers and investors across several classes of assets. After listening and evaluating client needs around acquisition and financing, Larry established the line of business and brought in four national clients each with 9 figure real estate asset portfolio’s which soon resulted in launching Portfolio Property Advisors.
Larry holds both a Bachelors of Economics and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard University, and chairs the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) Tax and Finance Subcommittee. Larry is also a member of the NAIOP Capital Markets Forum, is a NAIOP-PAC Trustee and was recently nominated to be a member of NAIOP’s national board of directors.
Larry holds a real license in good standing with the State of Texas and is sponsored by O’Connor Management LLC, the Texas real estate brokerage entity of O’Connor & Associates.
Mr. Andrew Bene
Andy Bene, former Executive Vice President of MB Real Estate, (www.mbres.com) partners with PPA to raise equity and debt financing.
Mr. Bene was with MB Real Estate from 2007 to 2011 as the Executive Vice President and Group Leader for MB Real Estate in the Capital Markets Practice. Mr. Bene works with several investment banking, sovereign wealth, institutions and high net worth individuals to place both debt and equity for real estate clients around the world. He has developed and maintained strong connections to the Wall Street community and foreign debt and equity investors.
Andy is a licensed real estate broker in the State of New York. He is also a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and a Counselor of Real Estate. He holds both the Series 7 and Series 63 Securities licenses. He has earned graduate degrees from the Graduate School of Banking of Brown University and the Graduate Real Estate Institute of New York University. He also holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
Prior to joining MB Real Estate, Andy served as a Managing Director and Group Leader at Sandler O’Neill and Partners where he originated and closed over $500,000,000 of real estate finance transactions. Prior to Sandler, he was Managing Director of Capital Markets at Marshall and Stevens for five years. Before joining Marshall and Stevens, he served as Managing Director-Partner of the GlobalCapital Markets Practice for Pricewaterhouse Coopers Securities LLC where he successfully closed over $3,000,000,000 in debt, equity, bridge and mezzanine financing transactions.
Andy’s real estate career spans over 40 years. He has experience in sales, finance, consulting, project management, workout, and turnaround situations for real estate assignments throughout the world.

Critical to PPA’s business is the broad pool of talent within O’Connor & Associates. In particular is the seasoned expertise of Pamela Minich, Director of Consulting Services with O’Connor & Associates. As part of its strategy and business model, PPA works seamlessly with O’Connor’s research practice to support PPA client engagements when they require specific qualitative and quantitative research anywhere in the U.S. Pam has more than 20 years of experience providing custom market research and consulting services for real estate clients across the country. Her work has been in a wide variety of commercial and residential land uses. For example, as part of the team on PPA current assignments, Pamela is directing projects in multifamily, retail and industrial multi-tenant properties for major owner/operators in these markets. Her academic background is in economics (Ohio State University) and business administration (University of Houston), with an emphasis in market research, strategic marketing and statistics. O’Connor has had a market research practice for over twenty years.
